🧵 QUICK QUILTING TIP

4 Tips for 4-at-a-Time Flying Geese

Want cleaner flying geese with fewer redos? Keep these tips in mind:

Cut accurately to start—even small miscuts can throw off your final geese. Double-check your square sizes before sewing.
Use a scant ¼" seam to help preserve your points after trimming.
Press carefully—set the seam first, then press away from the center to keep things flat.
Trim to size—square up your blocks to the correct size to make sure everything fits together perfectly. A specialty flying geese ruler can make this step a breeze.

The 4 at a Time Flying Geese method is fast, but a little precision goes a long way toward beautiful blocks.
